Growth: Everyone talks about growth in life. True growth occurs when you shed your negatives and embrace only your positives. Let the light shine and the darkness fade away. The other day I was having a conversation about this with one of my friends and he said that if at all this is done then the real person is lost. When we meet someone and become friends we appreciate the good in him and acknowledge the bad. This makes him what he is and this is the person whose friendship we cherish. I don’t agree with this. When I’m friends with someone I make sure I tell them what they are doing wrong. Some people don’t realize when they are doing something wrong since the wrong that they commit
has somehow been justified in their mind and has become a part of them. If they can change that and move towards being a great person from a good one, that’s something I would love to see.I have had a lot of people tell me it’s not easy to do the right thing all the time. I’m not asking everyone to be a saint. The major obstacle people find in their lives ahead of greed is laziness. When you are just lazing around ask yourself, “Can I be doing something else that will enrich my life instead of what I’m doing now?”. Invariably the answer will be, “Yes”. Just go for it. It’s quite simple. The best part of doing something or the other all the time is that you don’t get time to dwell in your own misery. Every day will get brighter and brighter. To this if you can add shedding your negatives, every day will seem like a dream.

I think this is so true. Most times it is just laziness. I love it, followed.
Pass by my blog and follow, maybe?

You make it sound so easy.. just shed your negatives.. but it's not all that simple.. AAs and de- addiction centers exist for a reason you know.. But I agree that it is a major step forward if you are able to acknowledge that the negative exists.. Beyond that, I feel you would require a major driving force to push you to achieve that goal of shedding the negative.. It could be the thought of losing something you cherish or the fear that you'll never be able to achieve something worth cherishing..
@Reyna
Reyna I have the same problem but lately I have started making a conscious effort to change that and till now it seems to be working and I'm getting more things done. You should try it.
@Ash
It is a major effort, yes I agree but once you acknowledge then changing it is quite essential and its not something that will happen overnight since we tend to revert to what we were before. But in time it will happen.

I have a problem with telling my friends when they are doing something wrong. And because of this I lost my best friend, I never told him that his possesive character was not good for him, always believing in the old saying "if there is nothing good to say then don't say it".
But I've changed. I'm no longer hiding my advises if I feel I can help my friends in a way or another.

The way I look at it is like this, even if that person doesn't speak to me from then on its fine as long as he has understood what he is doing wrong. He will be a better person that is more important.
One of the ways of becoming better as the days progress is, one has to overcome the things which he/she has mastered. Only then, one would be able to see a life, as they always intended. And to be not just successful, but to be successful in a positive way.
